“Deadpool” is one of the better movies to watch with a theater audience laughing along with the insane, absurd antics. The movie weirdly works as both a superhero flick and as a savage parody of superhero flicks and movies in general. It’s practically cathartic to watch an actual hard R-rated superhero film for a change – and an accurate and faithful to the Deadpool character film adaptation at that. To see Colossus as a giant metallic Russian mutant finally was equally terrific. All these PG-13 rated superhero films feel like they’re holding back from being adult and cutting loose. They try to be grown up, but also try hard to not offend the families. This movie doesn’t care. The lower budget allowed the filmmakers to actually take chances and deliver thrilling risks. You would rarely ever get this from a movie that costs $200 million… And it was edited in Adobe Premiere CC, which is pretty cool.
