If anyone ever asks me who I consider a real music artist, I usually reply with Daniel Johnston. He was the real deal. “True Love Will Find You in the End”. “Story of an Artist”. “Don’t Let the Sun Go Down on Your Grievances”. “Worried Shoes”. “Casper The Friendly Ghost”. “The Sun Shines Down on Me”. These are some of the most haunting and deeply affecting songs ever recorded bar none.
